The winners of the 64th National Film Awards 2017 for the Indian films which are released last year i.e, 2016 were declared on Friday, April 7. Actors Sury's Tamil Movie ’24’ received two National Awards for Best Director Of Photography and Best Production Design.

Subrata Chakraborty, Shreyas Khedekar & Amit Ray bagged the National Award for Best Production Design for “The total production value of the film is more than it’s’ art effects, locations, gadgets etc. whereby giving it an organic whole”. While Cinematographer Tirru bags Best Best Director Of Photography for this film. Actor Suriya shared a video on his official twitter to congratulates all the winners of 24 Movie. Along with Suriya 24 movie,Raju Murugan’s ‘Joker’ has won the Best Regional Film (Tamil) awards, Sundharayya won the best male playback singer for his ‘Jasmine E’ song in Joker. Vairamuthu has won the award for Best Lyrics for his ‘Entha Pakkam’ song in ‘Dharmadurai’.
