Nithyananda Shenoy (Mammootty) is a businessman with lots of black money stuffed living in Kasargod district. The movie features how an ordinary man survives the surgical attack of government on black money.The movie focuses more on the Demonetization implemented in November 2016 and the problems a common man may suffer because of the sudden big notes ban.

The Puthan Panam Movie Super first half, The use of regional language is amazing. But a part of the audience says, slang is nice to hear but difficult to understand. 2nd half is as good as the first half, the movie is going to be a blockbuster for sure.
The filmmakers tried to highlight the slang and intimidating mannerisms of the people of Kasaragod, and it clearly works in the favor of the movie. Mammootty’s power-packed dialogue delivery, style quotient, unmatched onscreen persona… well, who can say ‘later’ to it all?
The movie aptly showcases the issues that were faced both by the common man and those who were hoarding the black money when the Rs 1000 and Rs 500 notes were made invalid. Who thought that demonetization and its various effects will so quickly serve fodder for a Mammootty film!
